Job description

ESS Bridge Program Site Leader
An ESS Bridge Program Site Leader substitute oversees the care, instruction, attendance-keeping and implementation of the Bridge Program at a school site; perform an array of duties during and after school with the goal of providing a safe and constructive environment for students participating in the District Bridge Program.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement and oversee the Bridge Program at a designated site in accordance with the guidelines of the After-School Education and Safety (ASES) grant.
  • Develop a quarterly schedule of events and activities to address academic intervention and enrichment requirements using teachers, paraeducators and community-based organizations.
  • Manage and maintain the attendance software system.
  • Supervise and care for children during the after-school program.
  • Help maintain a clean, orderly work area.
  • Demonstrate an understanding, patient, respectful and receptive attitude toward students of all ages which creates a positive environment for all students.
  • Attend school-site mandated meetings.
  • Communicate with parents regarding student academic and social progress.
  • Maintain daily records and files as directed.
  • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to students
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience working with school-aged children in an organized setting.

Qualification Requirements
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Test
  • Department of Justice Background Check
