How much do aflac nursing jobs pay per year?
What is an Aflac Nursing?
Aflac does not directly offer nursing positions, but it provides supplemental insurance that many healthcare professionals, including nurses, utilize. If you are referring to roles related to Aflac and nursing, they may involve working as an agent who helps healthcare professionals understand and obtain Aflac's insurance policies. Nurses may also work in case management or claims review roles related to Aflac insurance. If you are seeking nursing positions, it may be best to explore hospitals or healthcare facilities while considering Aflac for supplemental insurance coverage.
What are the key skills and qualifications needed for Aflac Nursing?
To excel in an Aflac Nursing role, candidates typically need a background in nursing (such as a current RN or LPN license), combined with strong knowledge in case management and patient advocacy. Familiarity with insurance claims systems, electronic health records (EHRs), and healthcare documentation tools is often required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills distinguish top performers in this field, as does a genuine ability to educate and support clients. These competencies are essential because Aflac Nursing professionals bridge the gap between healthcare delivery and supplemental insurance, ensuring quality care and smooth claim experiences for policyholders.
What does an Aflac Nursing professional do?
A typical day as an Aflac Nursing professional involves reviewing policyholders' medical documentation, coordinating with healthcare providers, and educating clients on benefits and claims processes. You may conduct wellness assessments, answer benefit-related questions, and assist with navigating complex medical or insurance situations. Often, this role requires a blend of independent case work and collaboration with Aflac agents, claims specialists, and healthcare teams. Many Aflac Nursing positions offer a mix of remote and in-office work, providing variety and opportunities to develop specialized knowledge in insurance and patient advocacy.

Job description
Emory University is a leading research university that fosters excellence and attracts world-class talent to innovate today and prepare leaders for the future. We welcome candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our academic community.
Description
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (Children's) and Emory University School of Medicine (Emory) are seeking a visionary and collaborative physician leader with a strong clinical and academic foundation to serve as Chief of the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Division Chief, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMTCT at Emory University School of Medicine. The Chief will lead a dynamic team of faculty dedicated to excellent and innovative clinical care, education, research, and advocacy for underserved communities.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to multi-dimensional growth at Children's and Emory related to hematology, oncology, bone marrow transplant, cellular therapy and other pediatric cancer and blood disorders reflecting all three of our missions of excellent clinical care, education, and discovery.
Principal duties and responsibilities
Together, Children's and Emory strive to promote compassionate, evidence-based care for all children, support outstanding education for pediatric trainees, and foster cutting-edge research/innovation. We seek to advance a culture of excellence and accountability, aiming to be a leader in advancing pediatric care for children with cancer and blood disorders. To that end, the ideal Chief will be a skilled clinician and administrative leader with a strong reputation and track record of mentorship, clinical service, and scholarship. Within the first 18 months, they will have made significant progress in the following areas:

• Develop and lead a unified inpatient and outpatient coverage model that optimizes physician, APP and multidisciplinary team staffing across all Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center sites, ensuring seamless transitions of care, high-quality and consistent clinical practice, and sufficient capacity to meet patient access, acuity, and therapy needs across the Children's system.
• Partner with clinical directors and hospital administrators to evaluate clinical operation models, develop and assess new models of care, and provide recommendations to improve system performance, quality, and efficiency as well as family experiences.
• Support an inclusive environment within the division to ensure the continued effective recruitment of outstanding residents, fellows, and attending physicians and psychologists.
Education and Faculty Development
• Work closely with educational leadership for the medical student clerkship, pediatric residency, and fellowship to ensure instruction in pediatric hematology/oncology is current and reflects LCME/ACGME requirements.
• Ensure faculty development and mentorship, leveraging the Division's expertise to align professional growth opportunities with the needs of children and the community and strategic priorities and initiatives within Children's and Emory.
• Nurture the culture of teaching and learning at Children's and Emory, grounded in a model that emphasizes health equity and the care of "the whole child" within the context of their family and community.
• Support training in pediatric nonmalignant hematology through the T32 Hematology Training Program and broaden advanced training opportunities through innovative fourth-year fellowships in subspecialty areas including neuro-oncology, BMTCT, survivorship and sickle cell disease.

• Support scholarship within the division and through community partnerships and research synergies, including in areas such as basic and translational science, developmental therapeutics, clinical trials research, cellular and gene therapy, survivorship, medical education, quality improvement, health equity, and care of underserved populations; foster interdisciplinary collaborations with other divisions, departments, and medical schools.
• Enhance the division's contribution to population health and outcomes-focused research, health systems science, and implementation science, including efforts to improve pediatric hematology/oncology and BMTCT outcomes at the patient, system, and state level.
Advocacy and Community Engagement
• Partner strategically with the Children's Foundation to deepen and sustain major donor relationships, including strengthened center level partnerships with Aflac Inc. and the Amos Family, to advance shared philanthropic and mission driven priorities.
• Cultivate and steward existing donors while proactively developing new philanthropic relationships that expand and diversify funding support for clinical care, research, and training initiatives.
• Maintain a visible and active presence across the state of Georgia through strong community and advocacy partnerships, including the Emory Winship Cancer Institute, Hemophilia of Georgia, the Georgia Sickle Cell Foundation, and other key organizations, to advance education, awareness, and equitable access to care.
