Affinity Web Development information

What is affinity web development?

Affinity Web Development refers to creating, designing, and maintaining websites using Affinity software products, such as Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, and Affinity Publisher. These tools are often used by web developers and designers for creating website graphics, UI elements, and layouts due to their powerful design capabilities and affordability compared to other industry-standard software. While Affinity itself is not a coding platform, it plays a significant role in preparing visual assets and prototypes for web development projects. Many professionals combine Affinity tools with coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build fully functional websites.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as an affinity web developer?

To thrive as an Affinity Web Developer, you need strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web design principles, often supported by a degree in computer science or related field. Familiarity with Affinity design tools (such as Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo), as well as experience with content management systems and version control (like Git), is typically required. Creative problem-solving, effective communication, and attention to detail are valuable soft skills in this role. These skills and qualities are crucial for building visually appealing, functional websites that meet client needs and industry standards.

How does an affinity web developer typically collaborate with designers and other stakeholders during a project?

As an Affinity Web Developer, you will often work closely with UI/UX designers, project managers, and sometimes clients throughout a project's lifecycle. This usually involves participating in planning meetings, sharing progress via collaborative tools, and reviewing design mockups to ensure feasibility and functionality. Regular communication and feedback loops are essential to align technical implementation with design goals and project requirements. Emphasizing teamwork and adaptability will help ensure a smooth workflow and a successful final product.

Job description

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are seeking a Life Sciences Business Development professional to join our Healthcare and Life Sciences Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) Go to Market (GTM) organization. In this role, you will help execute our GTM strategy for global HCLS customers and partners. We will accomplish this by accelerating our customers' businesses through delivery of intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon's real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.

Do you have a passion for cloud computing and a proven record of driving results in the Life Sciences industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Principal Technical Business Developer at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of AWS services to effectively communicate value propositions to diagnostics, pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and clinical research organizations.
  • Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, solutions architecture, and other teams to deliver compelling business and technical proposals tailored to genomics, precision medicine, and clinical diagnostics applications.
  • Qualify and manage high-potential opportunities, guiding customers through the sales cycle and addressing technical objections specific to healthcare data security, regulatory compliance, and bioinformatics workflows.
  • Build and expand the HealthOmics and Clinical Diagnostics services relationships by engaging with key systems integrators and industry partners in the life sciences sector.
  • Contribute to revenue growth and service adoption to meet program revenue and pipeline targets in the healthcare and life sciences vertical.
  • Support the execution of go-to-market models that cover our key segments and customers in the genomics, clinical diagnostics, and personalized medicine fields.
  • Interface with customers at the VP and Director level, including roles such as VP of Operations, Director of Bioinformatics, and Head of Clinical Systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, including Sales, Business Development, Product, Finance, Marketing, Training, Operations and Legal, with a focus on healthcare and life sciences industry requirements.
