What is an affiliate program?

An affiliate program is a marketing arrangement where a business rewards external partners, known as affiliates, for generating traffic or sales through the affiliate's marketing efforts. Affiliates promote the company's products or services using special tracking links and earn a commission for each sale, lead, or specific action completed by referred customers. This model benefits both the business, which gains more exposure and sales, and the affiliate, who earns passive income. Affiliate programs are common in e-commerce and online services because they offer a cost-effective way to expand market reach.

What is an affiliate program job?

In e-commerce, an affiliate program is a marketing tool utilized by a marketing and ad agency or a specific brand to improve sales of services and products. The goal is for account executives or marketing specialists to develop relationships with external affiliates, such as websites that sell ad space, bloggers, and social media influencers. Your responsibilities as an affiliate or representative are to leverage their networks to drive traffic to a retailer or online merchant and build awareness of the brand. The e-commerce merchant then pays you a commission based on sales attributable to your effort, which is tracked by link clicks or referral codes. You can also work on the administrative side of an affiliate program for a marketing or ad tech agency or retailer.

What are the typical responsibilities of an affiliate program manager, and how do they collaborate with other departments?

Professionals managing an affiliate program are responsible for recruiting and onboarding new affiliates, monitoring affiliate performance, optimizing program strategies, and ensuring timely payouts. They frequently collaborate with marketing teams to align promotional campaigns, with legal teams to ensure compliance, and with finance to track commissions. Regular communication with affiliates is also key to fostering strong partnerships and achieving program goals.

Director of TikTok Creators

Clean Nutra

Las Vegas, NV โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Job description

Salary:

ABOUT THE ROLE
Clean Nutra is one of the fastest-growing supplement brands on TikTok Shop and we're just getting started. Creators are at the heart of how we grow, and we're looking for the person who wants to own that engine completely.
As Director of TikTok Creators, you'll lead the full creator operation: signing top-tier talent, building a team that executes at a high level day-to-day, and running live commerce sessions in our Las Vegas studio. This is one of the most exciting roles at the company you're sitting at the intersection of culture, commerce, and content, and every creator you bring on is a direct line to revenue.
We want to build a creator program that the best talent in the space actively seeks out one that's known for great partnerships, great energy, and results that speak for themselves. If you're the kind of person who lives and breathes TikTok, knows how to spot talent early, and gets fired up about building something people love being a part of, this was written for you.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Creator Recruitment & Partnerships
- Own the strategy for attracting and signing top-tier TikTok creators to the Clean Nutra affiliate and partner roster
- Build and maintain a high-quality creator pipeline identifying talent before they peak, not after
- Negotiate partnership terms, commission structures, and deal agreements directly with creators and their management
- Develop tiered partnership structures that give creators a clear path from affiliate to brand partner to featured talent
- Position Clean Nutra as a brand creators genuinely want to work with building a reputation in the creator community that drives inbound interest

Creator Program Management
- Lead and develop the in-house team of influencer/creator managers setting direction, raising the bar, and building a department with real accountability
- Overhaul and systematize current creator workflows: outreach, onboarding, briefing, content review, performance tracking, and relationship management
- Build scalable processes and playbooks that allow the program to grow without quality slipping
- Manage creator performance against GMV targets tracking what's working, replacing what isn't, and continuously improving the roster
- Leverage creator management platforms (GRIN, Aspire, or equivalent) to maintain visibility across the full roster

TikTok Shop Live Commerce
- Lead Clean Nutra's in-studio TikTok Shop live sessions working with creators in studio to maximize performance and GMV
- Build and refine live commerce playbooks: product sequencing, promotional mechanics, pacing, and engagement strategies
- Recruit, schedule, and develop live creators ensuring the bench is deep enough to maintain a consistent, high-quality stream
- Track and improve live KPIs: GMV per session, conversion rate, viewer retention, and peak concurrents
- Coordinate with the product team to plan new product launches around live events for maximum impact

Performance & Strategy
- Own the TikTok Shop affiliate program end-to-end GMV is your primary KPI
- Build reporting dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into creator performance, channel GMV, and program health
- Identify opportunities to amplify top creator content through Spark Ads in partnership with the paid media team
- Stay ahead of TikTok platform changes, algorithm shifts, and emerging creator trends and adapt the program accordingly

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 7-10 + years of experience in creator partnerships, influencer marketing, or TikTok Shop with a track record of driving real revenue, not just impressions
- Experience managing and developing a team you have led people before, you know how to set expectations, and you know how to build a culture that performs
- Deep fluency in TikTok Shop you understand the affiliate ecosystem, commission mechanics, Spark Ads, and what actually drives GMV
- Experience with live commerce or TikTok livestreaming, either managing live creators or operating live sessions directly
- Strong negotiation skills you've negotiated creator deals and know how to structure partnerships that work for both sides
- A builder's mentality you're coming in to revamp and grow, not maintain. You see what's broken and you fix it
- Highly organized with strong systems thinking you create processes that scale, not workarounds that pile up
- Genuine passion for the creator economy you follow the space closely, you know who's rising, and you can spot talent early

- If based remotely in San Diego or Los Angeles, CA able and willing to travel to Las Vegas regularly for in-studio live commerce sessions and team leadership
WHO THRIVES HERE
This role is for someone who gets genuinely excited about creator culture someone who sees TikTok as a real business channel, not just a marketing add-on. You have strong opinions about what a great creator partnership looks like, and you've built programs that creators actually loved being a part of. You lead with high standards and even higher energy. You can move between the strategic and the tactical without losing momentum one hour you're in a negotiation, the next you're reviewing live session performance, the next you're coaching your team.
You're not here to manage what exists. You're here to build something significantly better a creator department that top talent seeks out and that consistently drives revenue at scale.
WHY CLEAN NUTRA
- $150M+ supplement brand already winning on TikTok Shop you're building on a real foundation, not starting from zero
- In-house live commerce studio with active creator operations the infrastructure is here; the leadership is what's missing
- Direct access to the founding team fast decisions, real authority, and results that are immediately visible
- A creator program with significant room to grow the upside here is real and the mandate is clear
- Competitive base compensation + performance bonus tied to GMV growth
- Based onsite in Las Vegas, NV, or remote if based in San Diego or Los Angeles, CA relocation assistance available for candidates relocating from Southern California to Las Vegas
