What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an AFC Home Manager?

To thrive as an AFC Home Manager, you need a background in healthcare or social work, knowledge of adult foster care regulations, and often state-specific licensing or certification. Familiarity with care management systems, medication administration protocols, and compliance documentation tools is typically required. These competencies ensure the safe, effective, and compassionate operation of the home, promoting well-being and regulatory compliance.

What are some common challenges faced by AFC Home Managers and how can they be addressed?
