MDS Coordinator - RN

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1964. We are seeking to hire a MDS Coordinator - Registered Nurse - RN.

  • $87K to $94K annually based on circumstances including skills, qualifications, degrees and certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors.

MDS Coordinator - Registered Nurse - RN Qualifications:

  • Experience as an MDS nurse.
  • AANAC certification (or willing to be certified within 6 months) and knowledge and trained in the following:
    • Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care Reimbursement
    • PPS and OBRA Scheduling
    • CAA and Care Planning Process
    • Billing knowledge (Diagnosis Codes, UBO4, etc.)
    • QAA and QAPI Process
    • Nursing Clinical Assessment
    • Point Click Care
    • Skilled Nursing Facility Regulations and Compliance: Care WATCH, Infection WATCH and Risk WATCH

    MDS Coordinator - Registered Nurse - RN Job Summary:

    • Oversee all aspects of the Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care Programs.
    • Maintain financial policies and procedures and direct staff in managing Medicare and Medicaid Cost reports.
    • Oversee the resident assessment team to ensure timely and accurate submission of assessments.
    • Collaborate with the Administrator and Director of Nursing, as well as to work with other department heads.
