Job description

Position Summary
Southeast Dermatology Specialists is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and patient-focused Master Aesthetician / Medical Assistant to join our growing team in Douglasville, Georgia. This dual-role position provides advanced aesthetic services while also supporting physicians and advanced practice providers with clinical medical assisting duties.


Essential Functions
Perform skin assessments and develop treatment plans.
Perform medical-grade facials, microneedling, laser treatments (preferred) and more.
Educate patients on skincare and products.
Follow up with patients and maintain treatment documentation.
Assist physicians/providers during dermatology procedures.
Room patients, obtain histories, vitals, and document in EMR.
Assist with biopsies, excisions, wound care, and other office procedures.
Coordinate prescriptions, prior authorizations, scheduling, and patient communications.
Maintain inventory, treatment rooms, OSHA/HIPAA compliance, and perform other assigned duties.


Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Current Georgia Master Aesthetician License required.
Minimum 2 years of aesthetic experience, in a dermatology clinic or medical spa.
Experience with microneedling, Hydrafacials, and lasers preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong knowledge of dermatology and aesthetic procedures, excellent communication, customer service, organizational skills, EMR proficiency, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.


Physical & Mental Demands
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday. Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Must possess close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
