What are Aesir?

The Aesir are a group of gods in Norse mythology associated with power, war, and governance. They include well-known deities such as Odin, Thor, and Frigg. The Aesir reside in Asgard and often interacted with another group of gods, the Vanir, sometimes in conflict and sometimes through alliances. Stories about the Aesir are found in ancient Norse texts like the Poetic Edda and Prose Edda. Their myths explore themes of fate, heroism, and the end times known as Ragnarok.
