Job description

JOB TITLE: Sheet Metal Mechanic
LOCATION: Greenville, SC
PAY RATE: $36.00 – 38.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Summary: 

  • Interprets blueprints and fastener layouts for aircraft structural assembly.

  • Performs precision drilling and reaming operations on fuselage components.

  • Performs riveting and installation of various fasteners for structural assemblies.

  • Performs countersinking and part trimming for sheet metal and structural components.

  • Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal and structural assemblies and sub-assemblies.

  • Uses precision measuring equipment to ensure accuracy of structural assembly.

  • Applies knowledge of aircraft structural assembly operation and maintenance.

  • Performs production structures build-up of fuselage components.

  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings and blueprints for structural assembly.

  • Understands aircraft fasteners, drilling techniques, and assembly processes for F-16 aircraft.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • 6+ years of recent precision drilling or sheet metal experience on aircraft.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and fastener layouts for aircraft structures.

  • Experience with precision drilling, reaming, and countersinking on aircraft components.

  • Experience with riveting and installation of various aircraft fasteners.

  • Experience in fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal and structural assemblies.

  • Knowledge of aircraft structural assembly operation and maintenance.

  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment for structural assembly verification.

  • Must be able to start 7/13/2026 and clear contingencies by EOD 7/7.
