If you want to be part of this amazing mission and enjoy working in a great team environment, we would love to have you as part of our team that is making history, today. It takes big ideas and determination to take NASA's vision and make it reality. That's what we do every day.

The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

Candidate will work with a team to put together Simulation training events. The position will require utilizing various models/emulators to develop simulations to train the SLS Launch Team. Candidate will be responsible for writing software to configure the models for various simulation events, developing training scenarios, and will also need to interface with the various Ground Flight Application Software teams and subject matter experts to resolve issues and improve the overall simulation. Realistic training simulations are required for personnel in hazardous and critical operations at KSC.

Develop and test Software (C++ and/or Scripting) to manipulate software models to simulate realistic failures to be used as training scenarios. (Will require a certain amount of research and some understanding of electrical/mechanical/ fluids systems)

Develop Software (C++ and/or Scripting) to manipulate software models to configure the simulation to various states in a timely manner. In both a standalone and integrated environment.

Develop Software (C++ and/or Scripting) to enhance software models as needed to provide a more realistic appearance where model fidelity might be lacking.

Interface with systems engineers to understand how the flight and ground hardware elements work. (Will require a certain amount of research from existing documentation)

Integrate the model development with the GFAS Ground launch Sequencer to produce effective Launch Count Down Simulations

Coordinate with the NASA Launch Director, the Launch Project Engineer and GSDO system engineers to develop problem scenarios from the SLS Launch Commit Criteria and other requirement sources.

Work closely within the Simulation Training Team to prepare, debug and execute a full Operational Training Event.

Perform other duties as assigned.
