SUMMARYThe Quality Inspector will evaluate product conformity by measuring or otherwise comparing product to customer requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform visual and precision mechanical inspection of raw materials and finished products. Able to use standard mechanical measuring tools (Calipers, Micrometers, Plug & Ring Gages, Gage blocks, Height gage, etc.)Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications.Familiar with ANSI/ASME Y14.5. Proficient shop math skills, including some trigonometry.Ability to prepare and complete documentation such as inspection reports using Microsoft Excel.Ability to prepare and complete FAIs per AS9102 requirementsGood communication skills and ability to coordinate interdepartmental tasks.Identify quality issues and recommend corrective actionsAbility to prioritize multiple assignments and exercise independent judgment.All other dues and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor. QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
