Job Description: Job Title: Quality Inspector
Reports To: Quality Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Quality/ Inspection
Summary: Responsible for performing inspection of complex machined parts.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs final quality inspection of finished products in accordance with established procedures utilizing various inspection equipment (Ex. Depth Mic"s, Micrometers, Dial Bores, Diatest, Air Gages, Verniers, Gage Pins, Blocks, Fixturing, Thread Gages, etc.)
Performs dimensional inspection audits and completes intersection reports.
Documents all instances of rejected product or material on required forms.
Documents appropriate information for quality inspection reports.
Creates and maintains current files for all quality related documentation.
Reports any unusual discrepancies or problems promptly to supervisor.
Required to pass an annual eye exam by licensed optometrist.
Takes initiative in suggesting new inspection methods or ideas.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
