Salary: $21.50 per class hour Location: Greensboro, NC Job Type: Active Roster Temporary Schedule: Monday-Saturday mornings, 2-3 hours per day (hours vary) Important Information About Roster Positions Thank you for considering a roster position with the City of Greensboro. Please review the details below to ensure you understand the nature of roster employment: Hourly Employment: Roster positions are paid hourly and do not include benefits such as medical, dental, or vision insurance, life insurance, paid leave, or paid holidays. Limited Hours: Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12 month period. Pension System: Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city's pension system.

While roster positions do not include benefits, they are often a pathway to full-time, benefited employment with the City. AHOY, which stands for "Adding Health to Our Years," is offered at seven locations throughout Greensboro, promoting fitness and well-being in a fun, inclusive environment. If you're passionate about helping others stay active and engaged, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role As an AHOY Aerobics Instructor, you will: Lead 6-8 weekly low-impact aerobics classes, including strength training. Develop dynamic and engaging exercise routines tailored for active adults. Set up and break down equipment, including folding chairs as needed.

Travel between seven recreation centers, requiring a flexible schedule and reliable transportation. This position is a Non-Exempt under FLSA. Qualifications What you Bring Minimum Qualifications: CPR/AED Certification High School Diploma / GED Group Fitness Certification An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications): Senior Fitness Certification.
