Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and professional CDL Driver to join the AERO Logistics LLC team. In this role, you will transport refrigerated freight from one location to another. You will plan the most efficient route, ensure adherence to delivery schedules, and perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has 3 years experience driving refrigerated trucks and makes safety a number one priority.
Responsibilities:
  • Reports to work on time and in uniform.
  • Day trips with an occasional one-night stay for some regional runs (hotel provided).
  • Performs routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Plan the safest and most efficient routes of travel.
  • Adheres to delivery schedules.
  • Maintains detailed driving log, including work periods, rest periods, and fuel expenses.
  • Preserves a safe, clean, and organized tractor & trailer.
  • Interacts with and contributes to all team efforts and customers in a positive and professional manner.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A license.
  • Ability to work one of two schedules available:  Monday - Friday, or Sunday - Thursday.  
  • Understanding of all relevant truck driving laws and regulations.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Willingness to travel regularly and drive for long distances.
  • For Insurance purposes: Minimum 3 years CDL Class A tractor-trailer driving experience, required.
  • Safety-conscious regardless of the assignment.
  • Twic credentials or Hazmat certification preferred.
  • Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
