Job description

About Us: Overview:

The Associate Executive Director of Hospitality Services at our  Brightview Community serves as the champion and coach who will lead and direct the mission and vibrancy of the organization, overseeing day-to-day operations in dedicated departments defined by the Executive Director. 

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work in an entrepreneurial environment and will be empowered to assist with leading your departments with creativity and independence, ensuring exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction and associate engagement, operational efficiencies as well as first class hospitality services. We will leverage your existing leadership, management and customer service skills to elevate the resident and associate experience creating a great place to work and a great place to live. 

With the residents in mind, the right candidate will:

  • Consistently and genuinely demonstrates the STARS principles of Service, Teamwork, Action, Reputation, and Success in all activities and interactions.
  • Assists the Executive Director in appropriately leading, managing, and motivating the team to consistently deliver services that meet or exceed our residents’ expectations while continuing to improve the community status as an employer of choice in the market.
  • Assures the implementation of hospitality focused services which may include vibrant living, maintenance, housekeeping, and dining services such to achieve the delivery of excellent services to our residents.
  • Continually monitor the operations, physical plant, first impressions, associate interactions, and overall environment of assigned departments.
  • Assists the Community Sales Director with marketing the community, including networking,  public relations, and community events.
  • Participates in development and execution of the Business Plan and budget goals for the community in addition to maintain budget goals for the community.
  • Builds and trains Department Heads as assigned and their respective teams, optimizing individual and team performance through effective leadership, mentoring and training.
  • Works closely and collaboratively with the Regional SME team in their respective area.
  • Participates in the planning and execution of effective orientation and in-service training.
  • Assists the Executive Director in assuring that the management team maintains timely, open, and effective communication with residents and family members.
  • Effectively administers and participates in Brightview’s “Manager on Duty” program.
  • Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
  • Acts as a backup to the Executive Director when they are not available.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:                                                    

Supervisory responsibilities will be determined by community but generally consist of the direct oversight of a minimum of three up to five department heads; assists the Executive Director with the direction of the remaining Department Heads and all other associates as indirect reports. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with BVSL policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Salary Range: USD $115,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
Compensation Disclosure:

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of management experience in a similar environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, internet and industry specific software programs for marketing, payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Meet state licensing requirements (where applicable).
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Problem analysis and resolution at both strategic and functional levels.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
