On-site Every Other Week onsite / 5 days in Salt Lake City, UT

Our client seeks a Senior Android Engineer to build best-in-class mobile experiences that support financial planning, investing, and retirement solutions. You will develop features end to end within autonomous teams, contribute ideas to improve products and platforms, and provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60.00 to $66.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Build omni-channel user experiences and supporting platforms for digital presence.
  • Own features from concept through deployment within cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute ideas to improve products and enhance platform capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
Experience Requirements:
  • 6+ years developing publicly available Android apps using Kotlin.
  • Proficiency with Jetpack Compose.
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Experience with MVVM and clean architecture, feature toggles, and separation of layers.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and UI testing, including UIAutomator and Compose testing.
  • Agile development experience and strong collaboration skills.
  • Performance optimization and responsiveness tuning for Android applications.
  • Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, third-party libraries, and RESTful APIs.
  • Advanced Git skills and branching strategies.
  • Understanding of accessibility features and building accessible Android experiences is a plus.
  • Experience with continuous integration and modifying build scripts or pipelines.
  • Experience delivering public-facing mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with Gen AI tools such as Copilot or Gemini.
