Job description

Korum Hyundai in Puyallup, WA, is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our team.

The responsibilities of a Service Advisor include greeting customers, listening to their needs, and scheduling appointments as needed. They may also set up loaner cars and verify insurance before scheduled maintenance.

The pay is comprised of a base pay plus variable pay.

The estimated pay range is $60,000 to $85,000 annually, based on performance 

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly

  • Obtain customer and vehicle information

  • Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer

  • Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage, and the history of the vehicle

  • Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of the cost for labor and parts

  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day and update customers frequently
  • Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order

  • Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Service Advisor Requirements:

  • Previous experience at a Hyundai dealership is a plus
  • Ability to identify the problem quickly

  • Knowledge of automobiles

  • Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction

  • Experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager, or service consultant desired

  • Very energetic personality 

  • A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization

  • Personal and professional integrity

  • Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs

  • Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications

  • Minimum of 1 year in a service department

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Basic computer skills

  • Positive, friendly attitude 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
