Job Description

Job Title: Marketing Manager

Division: Customer Relations

Department: Marketing

Reports To: Director of Customer Relations

FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY:

Manages all marketing activities for the organization. Creates, develops, and implements plans aimed at profitable growth of the company. Identifies and defines relevant marketing plans and channels that will ensure increased brand recognition for the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Thorough analysis of market and customer trends and options, recommends overall marketing plans for the company to promote business, generate traffic and growth.

2. Recommends marketing plans for all EKN products and services, including service rate plans and enhanced features.

3. Implements marketing campaigns from ideation to final analysis and refinement.

4. Evaluates and measures effectiveness of marketing plans and promotions. Uses this information to refine and direct future programs.

5. Builds sustainable relationships and partnerships with other key players such as vendors, advertising agencies, and creative artists as per the need.

6. Implements marketing strategies through oversight of coordination with staff, advertising agencies and other vendors.

7. Well versed with different types of organic as well as paid marketing channels such as content marketing, PPC advertising, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing, Outdoor Marketing, Social media Advertising, email campaigns, lead generation initiatives, website design and landing page enhancement, copywriting, and comprehensive performance analytics of the marketing campaigns.

8. Works with other departments to ensure all promotional aspects are ready at least 2 weeks in advance of promotion launch (ie, advertising, inventory, billing, website, etc.)

9. Reports on marketing efforts to Director and Management team as directed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

1. Position requires a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university, plus

2. Minimum 5 years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. Knowledge of general computer use is required.

4. Knowledge in the field of business and/or marketing is required.

5. Familiarity with or aptitude for working with a technology-driven product is helpful.

NICHE SKILLS:

Requires specialized skills at the management level, which require broad knowledge and experience in the wireless industry. Average recruitment period is more than 3 months with maximum recruitment effort.

MENTAL EFFORT AND ANALYTICAL ABILITY:

Position requires a relatively high level of mental effort or analytical ability to find solutions to difficult human, technical or administrative problems.

VISUAL AND/OR PHYSICAL STRAIN:

Work regularly produces a high level of mental, visual and/or physical fatigue between 51% and 80% of work time.

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT AND CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR:

Assignments are received in the form of results expected but incumbents have considerable freedom to decide on work priorities and procedures to be followed. Errors result in significant impact in terms of cost, time, money, or public/employee good will, such as delays in important projects or schedules.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position requires direct supervision of 1-6 people. Work done by subordinate Associates is primarily discretionary in nature, with a high degree of autonomy in day-to-day tasks. Supervision requires establishment of goals and objectives and implementation of methods of accountability.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Job is performed under good working conditions, almost completely absent of disagreeable elements. Associate is exposed to adverse or hazardous working conditions 5% or less of total work time.
