What is advertising operations?

Advertising Operations, often called Ad Ops, refers to the processes and teams responsible for managing, delivering, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns. Ad Ops professionals ensure that ads are correctly set up, tracked, and perform as intended across various platforms. Their work involves campaign trafficking, troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring performance metrics, and collaborating with sales, marketing, and technical teams. The goal is to maximize ad effectiveness while maintaining a smooth workflow between advertisers, publishers, and technology providers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an advertising operations professional?

To thrive in Advertising Operations, a solid understanding of digital advertising platforms, campaign management, and data analysis is essential, often supported by a degree in marketing or a related field.
