Job description

Raptive is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Account Executive to support and grow advertising partnerships within the retail category and independent agencies. In this role, you'll manage a defined book of business, build trusted relationships with agency and client partners, develop thoughtful media solutions across Direct, Programmatic & TV channels, and contribute directly to revenue growth across Raptive.
This is an ideal opportunity for an emerging consultative seller who understands the digital advertising landscape, is excited by the intersection of content, commerce, and consumer decision-making, and wants to help retail brands show up in premium creator environments where audiences are actively discovering, planning, shopping, and buying.
You'll work closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to uncover category-specific opportunities, respond to client needs, develop compelling proposals, and bring smart, insight-driven retail programs to market.
The right candidate is proactive, organized, curious, and commercially minded - someone who is excited to represent Raptive in the market, learn quickly, and build a strong foundation for long-term success in advertising partnerships.
This role is based in Chicago and is best suited for someone who enjoys collaborating in a hybrid office environment, with in-office requirements minimum 2 days per week.
What you'll do
  • Manage and grow a defined portfolio of agency and brand relationships
  • Build strong day-to-day partnerships with agency teams, media planners, retail clients, and RMNS
  • Support revenue growth through proactive outreach, client follow-up, pipeline development, and thoughtful account management.
  • Identify new business opportunities across accounts based on research and meetings
  • Develop a strong understanding of Raptive's product suite, creators, audience strengths, retail-relevant categories, and advertising solutions.
  • Partner with sales leadership and senior team members on larger or more complex opportunities and partnerships.
  • Build clear, compelling proposals that align Raptive's capabilities with client objectives, campaign goals, retail category insights, and shopper engagement opportunities.
  • Respond to RFPs and client requests with polished, strategic, and timely solutions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, client notes, and account updates to support team visibility and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across sales planning, strategy, marketing, creative, account management, and operations to support strong campaign execution.
  • Share client, agency, retail, and market feedback to help inform sales strategy, packaging, product development, and go-to-market opportunities.
  • Represent Raptive professionally in client meetings, agency conversations, industry events, and day-to-day partner interactions.

The skills and experience you'll bring to the job
  • 3+ years of experience in digital media, advertising sales, agency partnerships, media planning, retail media, shopper marketing, commerce marketing, or a related client-facing role.
  • Experience working with agencies, holding companies, retail brands, commerce teams, or brand-direct clients; familiarity with major agency teams is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including media planning, RFP processes, branded content, programmatic, audience-based solutions, retail media, and/or commerce-driven marketing.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, manage client communication, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Comfortable prospecting, following up with clients, and identifying opportunities within existing and prospective retail accounts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate client needs, retail priorities, and shopper insights into clear solutions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and active opportunities.
  • Collaborative team player who works well with internal partners and is open to coaching, feedback, and continued development.
  • Creative problem solver who brings curiosity, initiative, and a solutions-oriented mindset to client challenges.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where priorities may evolve quickly.
  • Passionate about Raptive's creator-first mission and excited to help retail brands connect with consumers through trusted, premium creator environments.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
