Position Overview J&L Marketing is seeking a highly organized and creative Video Production Manager to lead our visual storytelling efforts. You will work closely with our Videographer, Video Editor, and the broader marketing team to develop premium, performance-driven video content for digital advertising, social media, OTT/streaming campaigns, corporate branding, and client presentations.

In this role, you will oversee the full production lifecycle - from concept development and pre-production planning to on-site execution and final delivery. This is a hands-on position; the ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously, and communicates professionally under pressure. You should be comfortable navigating collaborative feedback and revisions to ensure every project aligns with our clients’ marketing goals and elevates their brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Project Management

  • Proven ability to manage creative video teams and coordinate complex production workflows.
  • You will play a hands-on role during video shoots, managing logistics, directing talent, and participating in video shooting as needed.
  • This position requires the ability and willingness to travel throughout the year for in-person shoots and on-location productions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a dedication to producing the highest quality final product within tight deadlines.

Podcast Management & Production

  • Lead the end-to-end production of our corporate podcast: You will be responsible for the full podcast lifecycle, including scheduling, coordinating logistics, and ensuring high-quality audio/visual output.
  • Talent outreach and guest coordination: Proactively identify, reach out to, and manage communication with potential podcast guests to ensure a steady pipeline of engaging content.
  • Hands-on production: Manage the recording process, overseeing equipment setup, directing conversations, and coordinating with the editing team to ensure final episodes align with our brand standards.

Creative Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor the video team, providing constructive feedback to foster creative growth and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and clients to ensure video content integrates seamlessly into larger marketing strategies.
  • Navigate collaborative feedback and revisions with a solutions-oriented mindset, ensuring all deliverables meet broadcast-quality standards for branding, pacing, and polish.
  • Continuously research and introduce new creative directions, storytelling techniques, and industry tools (including AI-assisted workflows) to keep content fresh and competitive.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional video production and management experience, preferably within an agency or high-volume creative environment.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in video storytelling, creative direction, and work across digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Expertise in managing on-site production logistics and hands-on experience in video shooting.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects) and familiarity with platforms like Artlist, Frame.io, and VO services.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and foster growth within a creative team.
  • Deep understanding of performance-driven creative and how video impacts engagement, leads, and conversions.
