Job description

Every day, our team members do amazing things in pursuit of our shared purpose to build trust with our clients, partners, subcontractors, and teammates. No matter your background, education, or career path, if you share our vision to create extraordinary experiences, you belong at HITT.
Brand Director
Job Description:
HITT is seeking a Brand Director to lead the vision and execution of our brand across every touchpoint - from graphic design and visual identity to merchandising, creative strategy, and physical environments. This is a senior leadership role for a builder of brands and a developer of talent: someone who can both inspire a creative team and operate as a strategic peer and trusted advisor to the heads of Marketing and Communications.
The Brand Director will serve as HITT's chief creative voice, setting the aesthetic standard and driving creative output that reflects our position as one of the nation's top commercial builders. The Brand Director owns the full creative lifecycle - translating brand strategy into compelling visual experiences and ensuring consistency across every platform, campaign, and environment. They report to the VP of MarCom (Department Head) and lead a team of graphic designers, visual branding specialists, and merchandising professionals.
This role demands both strategic vision and executional excellence. The Director must be as comfortable presenting a brand direction to the executive team as they are diving into the details of a campaign or directing a photo shoot. They set the bar for creative quality at HITT, mentor their team to reach it, and continually push the brand forward.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Define and evolve HITT's visual brand identity, ensuring a consistent and elevated presence across all platforms, channels, and physical environments
  • Translate marketing objectives and business goals into clear, compelling creative strategies and executional plans
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing creative team, setting creative direction and maintaining quality standards across all deliverables
  • Oversee the end-to-end creative process for all marketing collateral: advertising campaigns, digital and print assets, branded environments, signage, and event materials
  • Direct the visual development of large-scale productions including corporate videos, photography shoots, and lifestyle campaigns
  • Lead creative strategy for brand experiences including team member engagement events, client events, recruiting activations, and more
  • Champion merchandising and physical branding - from office environments and jobsite branding to fleet, apparel, and promotional merchandise
  • Develop and implement creative branding strategies for new markets, sectors, and service lines; ensure alignment with Marketing and Communications plans
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications on advertising creative strategy, integrated campaigns, and brand storytelling
  • Identify and champion new tools, platforms, technologies, and creative approaches that keep HITT ahead of trends
  • Manage the creative budget and allocate resources effectively across team priorities
  • Partner with HR, Business Development, and other departments to bring the HITT brand to life across the employee and client journey
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top creative talent; build a team culture of craft, curiosity, and accountability

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design, fine arts, or a related field
  • 12+ years of experience in creative direction, brand strategy, and/or graphic design, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated success leading brand creative for a corporation or major accounts in an agency setting; A/E/C industry experience is a plus
  • Expert-level command of Adobe Creative Cloud; working knowledge of web design, photography, and video production
  • Strong portfolio evidencing strategic thinking, design excellence, and successful brand-building campaigns
  • Proven ability to manage and inspire a team of creatives across multiple disciplines
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite and executive stakeholders
  • Deep familiarity with print, digital, and environmental branding; experience with large-scale physical and experiential mediums is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing creative budgets and production timelines
  • Exposure to or interest in multimedia production (video, audio, motion)
