Job description

Provide a clean, friendly, and fun experience for our guests by assisting the Mountain Adventure Park Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations at the Mountain Adventure Park during the winter and summer seasons and assisting in preparation for the operating seasons both in the fall and spring months. Duties include assisting the Mountain Adventure Park Manager with hiring and training staff, budget management, and leadership of staff toward department goals. Communicate regularly with immediate supervisor and other company departments/personnel to plan, coordinate, and evaluate activities, exchange information, and resolve problems. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee's job is to get and keep guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Assist the Mountain Adventure Park Manager in planning, supervising, and executing daily park operations, including serving as Manager-on-Duty as needed.
  2. Help prepare the Mountain Adventure Park facility preseason for operating seasons, including but not limited to the Mountain Coaster, Giant Swing, Soaring Eagle Zipline, Bungee Trampoline, Inflatables, Spider/Rockwall, Tubing, and any other attractions.
  3. Assist the Mountain Adventure Park Manager in training and supervision of the Mountain Adventure Park Staff, including positive reinforcement and any necessary discipline.
  4. Assist the Mountain Adventure Park Manager to maintain schedules in compliance with the regulations and authorities having jurisdiction.
  5. Administer and document staff training, to include weekly safety topics, attractions training, daily maintenance inspections, and other duties as assigned. Utilize resort guest service policies, exceed set service standards, and ensure they are carried out effectively in order to attain targeted service goals.
  6. Communicate Net Promoter Scores to staff members and effectively utilize this information to motivate & reward staff.
  7. Provide a safe and clean work area at all times.
  8. Provide superior service to our customers internal and external guests by following our guest service standards and expectations. Work with department Manager to enhance the guest experience.
  9. Coordinate the transportation, scheduling, and general support of departmental J-1 students, including daily shuttling and communication to ensure timely arrival and effective integration into operations.
  10. Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  11. Perform other tasks as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in supervising a team of 35-50 employees, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and corrective action. Support resolution of guest concerns and ensure completion of daily operational and safety inspections.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two to five years of supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office; ability to quickly learn additional applications.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License.
SCHEDULE
The Assistant Mountain Adventure Park Manager is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Hours vary based on season and business levels, with a typical schedule of 5 days a week 8-10 hours a day, between the hours of 7am and 9pm. Weekends, holidays, and vacation weeks are required. Additional evening hours may be necessary during high-volume periods, special events, and functions. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, and job sharing may be required.
