Job description

Position OverviewLead a team to provide unique and enriching vacation experiences for families. This position manages a variety of housekeeping, hospitality, and adventure activities.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and lead operational activities providing a glamping environment to guestsProvide leadership to the FAC (Family Adventure Camp) team, including program management, housekeeping, scheduling, and performance reviews and hospitalityResolve concierge/customer service challenges within 8 hoursPartner with the full-time program team to manage activity scheduling for guestsKnowledge expert for sitewide operations, programs, and local attractionsCompile reports, build/modify SOPs, and maintain inventoriesModel the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+ & a valid U.S. driver's licensePreferred: Outdoor recreation experienceRequired 2+ yr. leading teams, prefer 2+ Summit employmentAbility to complete USA Archery Level 1 Instructor or BSA range masterProficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Email, registration software, POS software)Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 50 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgroundsPerformance ExpectationsProvide at least one memorable moment that matters to a guestContribute at least one improvement to Family Adventure Camp program operationsReceive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or guets
