Your primary responsibilities will focus on promoting movement, developing individualized treatment plans, and guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey.

Work Environment

Located in the heart of Virginia Beach, our rehabilitation facility serves a diverse patient population, primarily those with private medical insurance. The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. The workspace is designed for efficiency, promoting a patient-focused atmosphere that allows practitioners to provide personalized attention and treatment. The team currently consists of two Physical Therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), creating a supportive team dynamic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed assessments to recognize the goals and needs of each patient, ensuring personalized treatment plans.
  • Manage a caseload of one individual per hour, providing focused care and maximizing treatment effectiveness.
  • Utilize evidence-based methods to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of patients.
  • Engage in manual therapy, exercise demonstrations, and other therapeutic interventions to maximize client recovery.
  • Educate patients on non-surgical alternatives and minimize reliance on medications, fostering informed healthcare choices.
  • Regularly evaluate treatment effects and document progress in medical records using EMR software such as WebPT.
  • Promote an active lifestyle by enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through customized wellness programs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and an integrated approach to rehabilitation.
  • Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, celebrating milestones to build confidence and encourage adherence to treatment plans.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary clientele consists of individuals undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic issues, including post-surgery recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. These patients typically possess private medical insurance, allowing for a focus on comprehensive and individualized care. As a Physical Therapist at Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, understanding their unique challenges and helping them regain functional mobility.

Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, with no board or disciplinary actions against the license.

Compensation and Benefits
