Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs, using structured tools and methodologies.
• Provide individual and group counseling utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address mental health and behavioral challenges faced by students.
• Develop and implement tailored service plans in partnership with clients, ensuring alignment with their goals and aspirations for mental wellness.
• Advocate passionately for clients’ rights and access to varied resources while addressing vital social justice issues affecting their lives.
• Collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and external community organizations to enhance support services and address systemic barriers.
• Contribute to the development and evaluation of programs aimed at community outreach, while assisting with grant reporting and organization-wide initiatives.
• Engage actively in team meetings, training sessions, and community outreach activities to further enhance service delivery and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve students in the school setting, many of whom may face challenges related to socio-economic factors, trauma, and mental health concerns. Your role will involve working with children and adolescents, as well as their families, to provide the necessary support and resources that foster resilience and academic success. The collaborative nature of this environment allows you to build deeper connections within the community.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care principles and social justice advocacy.
• Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills to effectively interact with diverse client populations, school staff, and community partners.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a nonprofit organization or healthcare setting, particularly in educational institutions.
• Familiarity with community resources available to families and children, contributing to a holistic approach to support.
• Experience with program development and community outreach initiatives that advance mental health awareness.

Compensation and Benefits
