Full-Time, 40 Hours/Weekย

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provide solution focused interventions, skills building, and behavior management strategies in school and home settings. Provide coordination and assistance in crisis intervention.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

Direct-80%

1. Interview and assess the needs of the persons to be served via strength based identification

2. Provide solution focused interventions, skills building, and behavior management strategies in school and home settings.

3. Network with other professionals contributing to the students' mental health needs.

4. Conduct service coordination meetings with school staff, guardians, students and other community members.

5. Monitor the overall delivery of provided services and note progress.

6. Provide advocacy, training and facilitates linkage for the persons served in the use of basic community resources and social support networks.ย 

7. Provide coordination and assistance in crisis intervention and stabilization to persons served with availability on a 24 hour basis or refer to access for non-business hours.

8. Attends and participates in staff & treatment meetings, workshops and supervision.

9. Track designated outcome.

10. Adheres to agency personnel policy and procedures, ODMHAS standards and fulfills documentation and productivity requirements.

11. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, ย and educational/certification/registry requirements.

12. ย Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to learn about community resources.

2. Ability to effectively communicate with multi-disciplines associated with community resources.

3. Effective Time Management and interviewing skills.

4. Awareness of the service population's cultural and socioeconomically characteristics.

5. Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.ย 

6. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation) if applicable.ย 


MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Studies required.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to speak and be an active listener. The employee will be occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb and balance and to stoop or kneel. Vision abilities required to perform this include close vision.
