Job description

The Advanced Technician Assistant will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in at least two of the following hospital settings: GP, Shelter, Urgent Care, Specialty and ER.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, gathering patient histories, TPRs, feeding and walking animals, patient restraint, cleaning kennels, monitoring animals� general wellbeing, filling prescriptions, etc. In addition, the Advanced Technician Assistant will be able to place catheters, draw blood and give oral, subq, or IM medications with the dose calculated by an RVT or DVM. IV medications will need direct supervision. The Advanced Technician Assistant will be able to restrain for anesthesia induction and intubation but will not induce or monitor anesthesia.
