Job description

Crane, rigging and lifting industry training instructor and written and practical exam proctor. Prepare and deliver both classroom and hands-on field training for several CCO programs and in-house operator qualification programs, including mobile, tower, service, overhead and articulating cranes, basic and advanced rigging, signalperson, telehandlers, forklifts, aerial lifts, skid steers, lift director, and concrete pumps. Some travel required for customer jobs, usually within a radius of 500 miles. Must be ok with occasional jobs out of town. All travel expenses covered. Duties outside of teaching and proctoring exams include basic maintenance of machines, basic upkeep of courses and training facilities, attending required training (anywhere in the U.S.), and preparing class materials. Crane operator, mechanical and/or heavy equipment operator/inspector experience is helpful. Previous instructor experience leading a classroom environment in the construction trades or as a safety professional is required. Proficient computer skills required. We specialize solely in CCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification training for both new and experienced lifting industry personnel. Current CCO or related certifications are extremely helpful. Bi-lingual in Spanish is also extremely helpful.

Strategic Crane Training specializes in CCO crane, rigging and lifting industry certification training. We train candidates at both at our facility with our equipment as well as at customer facilities with customer provided equipment. We are a small company that has been in business since 2020, with over 45 years of combined field knowledge amongst the current staff.
