Job description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused professional to support complex rigging operations across a variety of projects. In this role, you will plan, prepare, and execute rigging activities with precision, ensuring equipment, materials, and loads are handled safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, a commitment to safe work practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform advanced rigging activities for lifting, moving, and positioning equipment and materials.
  • Inspect rigging gear, hoisting equipment, and related tools before use to confirm safe operating condition.
  • Determine load weights, center of gravity, lift points, and sling configurations to support safe lifts.
  • Coordinate with operators, supervisors, and team members to ensure clear communication during lifts and moves.
  • Set up, secure, and dismantle rigging systems according to project requirements and safety standards.
  • Interpret lift plans, sketches, work instructions, and site requirements accurately.
  • Identify hazards, apply controls, and follow established safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain organized work areas and ensure equipment is stored and handled appropriately.
  • Document inspections, job activities, and any equipment or safety concerns as required.
  • Support training and guidance for less experienced team members when needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience performing rigging work in industrial, construction, marine, manufacturing, or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of rigging principles, load calculations, and safe lifting practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret lift plans, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Knowledge of rigging hardware, cranes, hoists, slings, shackles, and related equipment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform work that may involve lifting, climbing, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and working in varied conditions.
  • Relevant certifications or training in rigging, signaling, or lifting operations are preferred.
