Job Overview

Bigge Crane & Rigging is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Sales Representative to support and grow our presence throughout the Gulf Coast region. This role serves as the primary face-to-face liaison between Bigge and both prospective customers and existing key accounts, developing long-term partnerships while identifying new business opportunities across a diverse customer base.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the mobile crane, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial services industries and possess a strong understanding of project-based sales environments. This individual must be a self-starter who is goal-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of operating independently within a fast-paced and highly competitive market.

This is a remote position covering the Gulf Region, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and surrounding Gulf Coast markets. The position will be based out of Louisiana, supporting regional operations and customer accounts throughout the territory.

  • Other Gulf Coast market areas within the assigned territory


Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed established daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
  • Develop new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing customer accounts throughout the Gulf Region territory.
  • Build strong customer relationships through face-to-face meetings, jobsite visits, networking, and ongoing communication.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend crane, rigging, and heavy lift solutions that align with project requirements.
  • Develop and actively promote value-added solutions for complex and technical lifting applications.
  • Manage existing accounts to strengthen customer relationships and increase territory revenue growth.
  • Identify opportunities to expand project scope, cross-sell services, and grow account penetration.
  • Provide accurate job estimating, project coordination, and customer follow-through.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, dispatch, project management, and other internal departments to ensure customer expectations and project timelines are successfully met.
  • Understand relevant mechanical, structural, and operational project requirements in order to effectively advise customers.
  • Maintain organized account management, pipeline tracking, and sales activity documentation within CRM systems.
  • Research and pursue new markets, customers, and project opportunities throughout the assigned region.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders across varying personality and communication styles.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within the crane, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial services industries.
  • Existing relationships and/or sales experience within the Gulf Coast region strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop new business, close sales opportunities, and maintain key customer accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand technical project requirements and communicate operational solutions effectively.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Gulf Region as needed.
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
