Job description

Intensivist APP (NP), day shift and night shift available - location: Florence, SC

McLeod Regional Medical center, a tertiary care center and a Major referral center in the area with four intensive care units and a 24/7 staffing model by both physicians and advanced practice providers is looking for a motivated APP to join their team of critical care providers. The ideal candidate would have experience in a critical area setting although new graduates are welcome to apply. You will be a part of a multidisciplinary team. This is a collegial group with a patient-centered approach. Come join our team of skilled professionals!

Qualifications/Training:

  • Minimum of a master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations:

  • A valid SC RN License as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) verified by the LLR

  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by approved accrediting agency.

  • Prescriptive privileges or are eligible to apply.

Job Description:

  1. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

  2. Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.

  3. Records physical findings, and formulates plans and prognosis, based on patient's condition.

  4. Plans, implements, and coordinates care to meet the holistic age specific needs of patients.

  5. Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors.

  6. Demonstrates professionalism and integrity.

  7. Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.

  8. Discusses case with physician and other heal professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
