Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) – Urology

Compensation: Competitive salary + Sign-On Bonus + Relocation + Loan Assistance

Job Type: Full time. Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

We are seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with urology experience to join a hospital-owned urology practice within a respected 144-bed community hospital. This role offers an independent patient panel, strong physician collaboration, and an excellent work-life balance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient urology care
  • Conduct detailed histories and physical examinations
  • Evaluate and manage acute and chronic urologic conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, imaging, etc.)
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Provide patient education and counseling
  • Participate in first-call coverage as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • National certification through ANCC or equivalent
  • Registered with the Vermont State Board of Nursing
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Registered with the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice

For All Candidates:

  • Minimum 2 years of NP or PA experience in urology required
  • Vermont licensure (or ability to obtain)
  • Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC as applicable)
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team-based model
