Job Description:
The Ellmer School of Nursing at Old Dominion University invites qualified advanced practice registered nurses with certification as a family nurse practitioner to apply for a full-time, 12-month, open rank faculty position in our graduate nursing program to start August 1, 2026. We are building a diverse faculty and searching for a faculty member who will share and contribute to our mission to transform healthcare by:
  1. Preparing exceptional nurses.
  2. Extending nursing science.
  3. Partnering with our global community.

Faculty responsibilities will include didactic and clinical instruction in our advanced practice graduate nursing programs and mentor graduate nursing students. Courses are offered year-round. Participation in scholarship will round out the faculty member's workload.
