Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$57.69 - $75.77 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Exciting opportunity to join the orthopedic team with Endeavor as a podiatry APN in the Edward/Elmhurst Hospital market. This position will manage inpatient and outpatient podiatry patients. The podiatry APP will evaluate new and existing patients as well as post operative visits. The pay and benefits are competitive, and the environment is professionally satisfying.
Job Description
Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides podiatry care to patients. Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations, orders imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interprets results. Instructs patients on the prescribed therapeutic regimen and pre/post operative instructions. Maintains records and writes progress notes on status, treatments and procedures. Follows patients through their course of treatment in the clinic and hospital setting. Collaborates with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate. Demonstrates evidence-based practice. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice in the specialty. Assesses the learning needs of patients and families across the continuum. Employs strategies, interventions and teaching to promote, maintain, and improve health. Works autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as a resource and consultant. Positively contributes to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of service line goals. Supports the strategic plan of the organization. Adheres to all Endeavor Health policies and procedures.

Hours: 36 patient contact hours per week, 4 hours of administrative time
What you will need:
  • License: APRN Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
  • Education: Completion of a master's level degree
  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Experience: Experience in orthopedics or podiatry preferred.
  • Ability to manage high clinic volume and complexity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
