Job description

TITLE: Advanced Mechanical Engineer (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

RATE RANGE: $45 - $55/hr W2 (no health benefits/no paid PTO while on contract, an hour worked is an hour paid)

DURATION: 12+ month contract, conversion to perm normally happens after 6 months

LOCATION: McLeansville NC 27301ย This position is fully on-site, OR Hybrid/Flex as permitted.

CLEARANCE: Able to obtain a secret security clearance from the Department of Defense U.S. citizenship is required.

***No C2C, we can NOT work with outside agencies/vendors, and we can NOT do 1099-US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED***

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a mechanical engineer, you'll be a member of and may lead a cross functional team responsible for the development of electronic and mechanical packaging design, and validation, including: structural and thermal analysis, shock and vibration, and design for manufacturability.

REQUIRED SKILLS:ย 

Proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings

Strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards

Creative thinker capable of leading a team in the preparation of project design, testing, and prototype fabrication

Attention to detail and ability to document technical information to be consumed by technical and non-technical individuals.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Working knowledge of computer aided analysis tools (thermal, CFD, structural), such as Ansys

Working knowledge of computer aided design tools (3D, 2D, layout), such as Creo

Experience with small form factor, high power electromechanical elements

Self-starting, detail-focused, problem solver

Experience with high-pressure applications, including sealing technologies

Demonstrated documentation experience - procedures, specifications, design packages, and engineering reports

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
