Job description

Basic Function

Provides support for the Contracts and Pricing department. Works under minimal supervision using established policies, procedures, and guidelines with latitude to use initiative and independent judgment. Apply general knowledge of contracts, pricing, and customer setup processes while receiving guidance on more complex matters.

Job Duties
  • Partners with Supply and Marketing groups to administer contracts and customer setups, identify issues impacting commercial transactions, and recommend solutions within established guidelines.
  • Analyzes customer and contract information to identify potential issues, recommends corrective actions, and coordinates resolutions to support business continuity and customer satisfaction.
  • Exercises independent judgment to evaluate customer and contract-related issues, implement solutions within established authority, and escalate matters requiring additional review.
  • Coordinates customer onboarding activities across multiple business functions and determines appropriate documentation and system requirements based on established procedures.
  • Reviews and analyzes customer, pricing, and contract data to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assists in developing reports and analyses used by commercial stakeholders to support business decisions.
  • Utilizes SAP, Salesforce and other systems, including Deal Capture, DTN TABS, Atlas, and Customer Portal, to support daily departmental operations.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with internal departments and external customers.
  • Provides back-up support for other Contracts and Pricing team members as needed.
  • Participates in training activities to develop knowledge of contracts, pricing processes, systems, and departmental procedures.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of two years related work experience required.ย 

Preferred Experience: Two years in the petroleum industry.

Education Level

A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Preferred Education Level: A Bachelor's degree in business or in a technical discipline.

Required Skills

Ability to apply advanced clerical and data entry skills to assignments based on pre-established guidelines.ย  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products including but not limited to MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.ย  Strong working knowledge with the mechanics of a contract and pricing.ย  Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written & verbal communication, as well as basic understanding of computer use.ย  Intermediate reading and writing skills and the ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.ย  Knowledge of trade locations and SAP navigation.ย  Advanced ability to implement new systems and procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness.
