**Position: Accountant IV**

**Summary:** Responsible for the meticulous maintenance of financial records, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately captured and compliant with established accounting standards. 

This role involves the reconciliation of subsidiary and general ledger accounts to uphold the integrity and reliability of financial data within hospital financial systems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Oversee the accuracy of ledger entries and maintain detailed reconciliations between subsidiary ledgers and the general ledger.

- Collaborate with auditors to facilitate internal and external audit processes, ensuring all documentation is readily available and accurate.

- Produce and analyze monthly financial close reports, and respond to audit inquiries efficiently.

- Prepare journal entries and conduct thorough account analysis and variance analysis, ensuring all entries adhere to applicable accounting principles.

- Cultivate a high level of proficiency with advanced Excel functionality to manipulate financial data and create comprehensive reports.

- Manage multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment while maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality.

- Stay abreast of industry developments by engaging with contemporary accounting literature and attending relevant conferences and seminars.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline; an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.

- Advanced degrees or CPA designation are preferred.

**Experience:** - A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience is required, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in a healthcare or hospital environment.
