ENT caregivers care for the ears, nose,throatand so much more. The ENT also has surgeons who offer both nonsurgical and surgical treatments to help patients with many conditions that affect the ears,noseand throat. And at Cleveland Clinic, we embrace a team approach. A caregiver in this position worksdays + on-call requirements|7:00am-5:30pm or 9:00am-7:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on surgery core learning needs.

  • Provide direct nursing care alongside asuccesscoach.

  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patientpreferenceand resource availability).

  • Respond to dataindicatingrisk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.

  • Seeksupervision,consultationandassistancewhen unable to perform safely and independently.

  • Documentinpatients' medical records.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing(Diploma, ADN, BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red Cross

  • Newgrador less than one year RN work experience or if experience RN moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less thanone-yearcurrent acute direct patient care RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor ofScienceinNursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50

Maximum hourly: $55.60
