Role Summary

A large enterprise organization with a mature Workday environment is seeking a Senior Workday HRIS Reporting Analyst to support the design, development, and optimization of Workday Reporting and Workday Prism Analytics solutions.

This role is responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining enterprise Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics while ensuring data accuracy, system performance, and compliance with organizational reporting standards. The position partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting solutions and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Workday Reporting, hands-on Workday Prism Analytics experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into user-friendly reporting solutions.


Key ResponsibilitiesWorkday Reporting & Analytics
  • Design, build, test, and maintain Workday reports, including:
    • Advanced Reports
    • Matrix Reports
    • Composite Reports
    • Custom Reports utilizing Calculated Fields
  • Develop and maintain Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and BIRT reports.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, user-friendly reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Build and maintain calculated fields, report prompts, and reporting logic to support business needs.
  • Optimize report performance, usability, and consistency across the Workday environment.
Workday Prism Analytics
  • Develop and support Workday Prism Analytics solutions for enterprise reporting and data visualization.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance multiple Prism use cases within production environments.
  • Support data preparation, transformation, and visualization for business reporting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for advanced analytics and reporting improvements.
Reporting, Data Management & Governance
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, and IT teams to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across Workday reporting solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with Workday security roles, governance standards, and enterprise reporting policies.
  • Support regulatory, audit, and compliance reporting requirements, including internal audits and workforce reporting.
  • Promote reporting standards, data governance best practices, and self-service analytics.
System Support & Continuous Improvement
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend long-term solutions.
  • Support Workday releases by performing impact analysis, testing, and implementing reporting enhancements.
  • Create documentation, job aids, and user training materials.
  • Provide ongoing support for internal reporting requests and dashboard development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation, and user experience.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting HRIS, Analytics, HR, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining Workday reports.
  • Extensive experience with Workday Prism Analytics, including creating and supporting multiple production use cases.
  • 2+ years of experience developing custom Workday reports using:
    • Report Writer
    • Calculated Fields
    • Dashboards
    • Advanced Excel
  • Strong expertise with:
    • Advanced Reports
    • Matrix Reports
    • Composite Reports
    • Custom Reports
    • Calculated Fields
  • Experience working with Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and BIRT reporting.
