Job description

Purpose of Position:
Provides strategic and operational leadership over Early Detection, tool development and Helpline Investigations. This role ensures early risk identification, high-quality data analytics, effective tool development, and consistent support to investigations, recalls, and regulatory compliance activities.
Job Description:
Lead and supervise the early detection, tool development and helpline investigations team, setting priorities and aligning resources with the goal of identifying earlier detection indications of potential safety field issues.
  • Management will consist of establishing/tracking deliverables, escalating risk items, developing continuous process improvement initiatives (improved early detection leading indicators, process accuracy and efficiencies), and establishing synergies.
  • Oversee identification and analysis of emerging safety and compliance trends from structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Ensure consistent methodologies for trend validation, escalation, recall scope assessment, and remedy effectiveness monitoring.
  • Translate analytical results into clear, actionable insights for investigators and leadership.
  • Oversee development, maintenance, and enhancement of analytics platforms, dashboards, and investigation tools.
  • Ensure data anomaly detection, audits, and automated accuracy checks are established and maintained.
  • Serve as primary liaison with ICT on data feeds, platform changes, audits, and enhancements.
  • Provide oversight of Helpline intake and triage for safety, non-compliance, and emissions concerns.
  • Ensure appropriate screening, escalation, confidentiality controls, and coordination with the Business Practices Office

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Information Systems (CIS) Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical or quantitative discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working with data in a safety, regulatory, investigations, compliance, or operational analytics environment
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources, including field data, warranty data, service data, customer feedback with a focus on predictive analytics
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and inconsistencies and clearly summarize findings
  • Working knowledge of reporting, data analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, databases, dashboards); ability to learn internal systems quickly
  • Experience supporting investigations, reporting, or program execution through timely and accurate data preparation
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to understand and break down complex data or issues into clear, actionable information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to support internal stakeholders, including investigators, program managers, and leadership
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within cross functional teams
  • Ability to clearly communicate both written and verbal to management, engineering, internal and external stakeholders and regulators
  • Ability to lead a team in the execution of deliverables on a condensed timeline
