Job Description

The Finance Data Analytics Intern will support the Finance team by assisting with financial reporting, data analysis, business intelligence, and process improvement initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience working with financial data, reporting tools, and cross-functional business partners while helping improve data accuracy, reporting consistency, and decision-making across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
Analyze financial data including budgets, forecasts, customer rebates, costs, and profitability to identify trends, variances, and actionable business insights.
Assist with standardizing enterprise reporting by consolidating manual Excel-based reports and establishing consistent reporting terminology and data definitions.
Support the development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of Power BI dashboards and reports for Finance, HR, IT, and other business functions.
Validate and reconcile financial reports against source systems and existing Excel files to identify discrepancies and improve data accuracy and reporting integrity.
Assist with budget and forecast reviews for the HR and IT departments, with opportunities to support additional functional areas as needed.
Participate in the review and analysis of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to identify opportunities for improved reporting and business insights.
Analyze customer rebate trends for 2026, providing recommendations and visualizations to support financial decision-making.
Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that summarize findings for Finance leadership.
Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to support data-driven projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform additional analytical and project-based assignments as needed.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Experience with or willingness to learn Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
Ability to organize large data sets and present findings in a clear, meaningful way.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
