Advacare Homecare is seeking a compassionate and dedicated non-medical Home Care Attendant to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in Flagstaff, AZ. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in home care and possess the three basic levels of certifications required for this role. This position offers competitive pay of $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, paid weekly.
Essential Functions:
  • Assist clients in maintaining their independence by providing daily support and companionship.
  • Monitor and document the client's physical and mental condition, reporting any changes to the Field Supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment by following established care procedures and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines regarding the confidentiality of client health information.
  • Uphold company and industry standards, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene needs.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including support with walking aids (cane, walker) and other adaptive equipment.
  • Help plan and prepare meals and snacks in accordance with dietary needs outlined in the client's care plan.
  • If needed, assist with client feeding.
  • Observe and report any changes in a client's:
  • Physical condition (e.g., mobility, weight, appetite).
  • Mental or emotional well-being (e.g., mood changes, confusion).
  • Home environment that may pose safety risks.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties such as tidying up, laundry, and maintaining a clean living space.
  • Document care activities and communicate updates with the caregiving team through client care records.
  • Participate in ongoing training and in-service education as required.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong ability to work independently and adapt to different client needs.
  • Excellent time management, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic nutrition and meal preparation.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and provide compassionate care.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.

Certification Requirements:
  • Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Arizona Food Handler's Card
  • T.B Test

Education & Requirements:
  • Must maintain current certifications, including First Aid, TB test, and required in-service training.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Physically capable of performing caregiving duties, including standing, bending, and lifting.
