Job description

A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred in special education or mental health-related fields, with at least two years of experience.

Location: South Orange County, CA

A family is looking for part-time direct companion care for a 34-year-old adult male with autism.

Skills:

· Experience with Autistic Adults

· Psychosocial approach for the plan of care VS a behavioral approach.

· Clinical judgment with a strength-based approach to adjust techniques according to the client’s needs.

· Employ positive behavior support strategies to reduce the occurrence of challenging behavior.

· Supportive partnership with client and family. Maintain professionalism and uphold confidentiality and respect.

· Flexible work availability, 2 to 3 times a week, for 4-hour shifts.

The qualifications include a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, education, social work, or other relevant disciplines. Additional requirements are flexibility, residency in Orange County, and possession of a valid driver’s license and a vehicle.

Pay: From $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 to 12 hours a week.
