At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with specialized experience to provide 1:1 tutoring in Flagstaff, AZ! About the Role: We are seeking a highly patient and supportive GED Course and Test Prep tutor to work one-on-one with a diligent adult student currently enrolled in GED courses at a local community college. While the student is hardworking, she is seeking a tutor who can provide structured guidance and accessible learning strategies to build her confidence and core competencies.
The ideal candidate will help the student navigate key reading strategies, foundational math concepts, and essential computer skills needed for placement testing and course progress. The goal is to keep the student engaged through organized, step-by-step instruction that makes learning approachable and manageable.
Details:
  • Location: Flagstaff, AZ 86001
  • Schedule: 2 sessions per week (1.5 hours per session); availability on Mondays (before 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM), Tuesdays & Thursdays (after 12:00 PM), and Wednesdays & Fridays (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM or after 4:00 PM)
  • Hours: 5 hours total (with potential for ongoing sessions)
  • Subjects: GED Course & Test Prep (Reading, Math, Basic Computer Literacy)

Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide individualized 1:1 instruction focused on GED course material, placement test preparation, and core subject mastery
    • Guide the student through key reading strategies, reading comprehension techniques, and mathematical concepts
    • Assist with basic computer skills necessary for navigating placement tests and online coursework
    • Implement structured, accessible, and engaging learning strategies tailored to an adult learner

Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated experience with GED Course and Test Prep
