Job description

The Lead TRIO Program Assistant provides administrative and operational support for TRIO programs that help high school students from limited-income families and those who may be the first in their families to earn a Bachelor's Degree. Through engaging activities, academic preparation, career exploration, and personal development, these programs prepare students for success in high school and beyond. The Program Assistant coordinates daily operations, manages budgets and expenditures, oversees contracts, and provides administrative support while ensuring efficient program delivery. The role requires strong organizational, communication, customer service, and technology skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Management, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an office setting providing administrative support.
An unrestricted Alaska driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving criteria is required.
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule , Grade 78, based on education and experience.
