Job Summary:
WEST ABE offers free educational services to adult learners in Wright County and surrounding communities. WEST ABE is a consortium of educational sites within school districts and four county jails to help adults acquire basic skills. Monticello is the fiscal agent. Certification and Experience:
  • Current standard teaching license for the State of Minnesota
  • Previous experience teaching within an adult basic education program, and working with diverse students and families, is preferred.
  • Pass the Background Check
  • Previous experience working with Community Education/adults preferred

Essential Skills Required:
  • Computer skills required, knowledge of MS Office/Google or comparable
  • Strong leadership and time management skills required
  • Understanding CCRS & GED requirements
  • Effective decision-making skills while acting within the district policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
  • Maintain confidentiality of information about students, families, and staff
