Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support a high-volume retail organization. This contract opportunity with permanent potential focuses on managing wage garnishment activity accurately and efficiently for a large employee population while helping maintain compliant payroll operations. The ideal candidate brings solid payroll knowledge, experience working across multiple states, and confidence using ADP Workforce Now in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

• Administer wage garnishment entries and updates for a large workforce, ensuring all deductions are processed accurately and on time.

• Review court orders and related notices to confirm withholding amounts, payment timelines, and employee-specific requirements.

• Maintain payroll records associated with garnishments, deductions, and supporting documentation in accordance with company standards.

• Coordinate with payroll team members, agencies, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or questions related to employee withholdings.

• Process payroll-related transactions within ADP Workforce Now while supporting accurate full-cycle payroll activities.

• Monitor multi-state payroll considerations to help ensure deductions are handled in alignment with applicable regulations.

• Investigate payroll exceptions and take corrective action when garnishment data or employee records require updates.

• Assist with ongoing payroll operations for employee groups ranging from 101 to 500 or more, depending on business needs.

• At least 2 years of payroll experience, including hands-on responsibility for garnishment processing.
• Working knowledge of full-cycle payroll practices in a high-volume environment.
• Experience supporting multi-state payroll with strong attention to compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and general payroll systems navigation.
• Ability to manage detailed payroll data with accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.
