- Responsible for accounting activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements.
- Classify, examine, and analyze accounting records and prepare related financial reports and statements.
- Prepare specialized financial reports (e.g., Liability reports, Receivable reports, Volume reports) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
- Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Regularly provide guidance and training to less experienced Accountants.
Experience. You have 3+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role, including accounting, account reconciliations, financial operations, and financial analysis.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- General accounting experience or demonstrated accounting knowledge, with the ability to perform complex accounting activities and analyze financial information.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing financial data, researching discrepancies, investigating variances, and identifying root causes to resolve financial issues accurately and efficiently.
- Experience performing account reconciliations and resolving exceptions or out-of-balance conditions.
- Proven ability to learn complex processes, apply prior knowledge to new situations, and work independently to resolve issues.
- Demonstrated initiative and ownership, with the ability to proactively investigate issues, seek solutions, and contribute to team success.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
