Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Infection Control Nurse
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and Infection Control Nurse
  • Lead and manage the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program
  • Supervise, mentor, and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Certified Medication Aides (CMAs)
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and teaching skills to educate staff on infection control, wound care, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide ongoing coaching, competency validation, and performance feedback to nursing staff
  • Oversee wound care management, documentation, and treatment compliance
  • Ensure adherence to CDC, CMS, and state regulations
  • Conduct audits, surveillance, and staff education related to infection prevention
  • Assist the DON with clinical oversight, survey readiness, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning
• Qualifications
  • RN license in good standing required
  • Long‑term care or skilled nursing leadership experience
  • Infection Control experience required
